Frequently Asked Questions

Why did you decide to train as a chiropractor?

I had spend my formative years doing a lot of contact sports and generally damaging myself whenever i had the chance, and my cousin who was an osteopath who had the task of putting me back together each time. When it came time to look at careers the choice came down to osteopathy, physiotherapy or chiropractic. I initially chose osteopathy and started studying in London. After a year in London i was fed up of living in the city and swapped to study chiropractic in Bournemouth to be next to the beach!

Where did you train and what was the course like?

Like Laura and Rob i also studied at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic and they were 5 of the best years of my life, with lots of studying, lots of exams, and sometimes a day or two to lie on the beach.

Tell us about your career so far

After graduation i moved to Chester to a very well respected chiropractic and sports injuries clinic where i had two practices in Chester and in the Wirral. After several years there i moved back to my home town of Cheltenham to where i opened my own practice in the same premises as my cousins osteopathic practice.

What is your favourite type of patient?

I enjoy treating extremities, especially shoulders. Coming from a gymnastic and lifting background i have had more than my fair share of shoulder and knee injuries and this gives me a bit of an advantage when it comes to treating them.

What is your style of practice?

My style of practice draws heavily on multiple modalities from joint manipulation/mobilisation to sports massage, Active Release or instrument assisted soft tissue therapy and sports taping depending on the patients presenting complaint and any preferences the patient may have if they have had prior treatment. /p>

What are your aims for the future?

Like Rob I also would like to have my own gym to train and rehab patients. I’m also in the process of finishing of several post graduated qualifications. /p>
